The Instituto Nicaragüense de Telecomunicaciones y Correos (TELCOR) has published the Acuerdo Administrativo No. 001-2023 in the Gazette on July 31, 2023. This Agreement aims to enhance the quality of telecommunications services in Nicaragua and ensure the efficient use of the radio frequency spectrum.

Administrative Agreement No. 001-2023 designates the frequency band of 894-960 MHz for advanced mobile broadband services and reaffirms the use of the frequency band 915-928 MHz for Short-Range Devices and Low-Power Wide-Area Network Devices. With this measure, the development of new telecommunications technologies and services in the country is anticipated, as well as the operation of Internet of Things (IoT) devices and other low-power wireless devices.

Administrative Agreement No. 001-2023 is already in effect and supersedes Administrative Agreement No. 005-2021.
